What is SLCP?
SLCP(Social and Labor Convergence Project),hereinafter referred to as SLCP, is a multi-stake holder. There are more than 200 signatories, including manufacturers, brands/retailers, agents national governments, standard holders, industry associations, auditing firms/service providers/consultancies and intergovernmental organizations(observers).
By implementing a Converged Assessment Framework(CAF)to collect social and labor data that can replace all current audit methodologies. SLCP aims to improve social and labor conditions in global supply chains by reducing the number of social and labor audits in facilities. The program would not only redirect facility resources previously spent on compliance audits to the improvement of social and labor conditions but also increase the opportunity for greater comparability of social and labor data to better formulate and execute improvement programs.
SLCP provides comprehensive tool as the solution which covers the labor topics such as age, working hours, wages, health & safety, facility management system and more.

CAF consists of three elements:
- Data Collection Tool: lt is suitable for facilities and verifiers to record facility data and verification data.
- Verification Protocol: lt is mainly suitable for verifiers and contains the procedures rules and process requirements for conducting an SLCP verification.
- Verifier Guidance: lt is suitable for verifiers and helps Verifiers and facilities complete assessment by giving guidance on how to answer questions in the Data Collection Tool.
